Have you ever made your own jewelry? I remember when I was a teen, a friend of mine had taught me to make chained necklaces - he'd brought some wire and a special tool to make the links and put them together. My dad made me a similar tool, and we had a blast doing those necklaces.

During my colleges days, I have learned to make paper jewelley, with the colorful magazine papers, it looks beautiful. I made some and worn it.

Isn't it fun? And then when you wear it and friends ask you where you bought this stuff, you can proudly announce that you made it yourself and amaze everyone. In our case, some people wouldn't believe that we made those necklaces, I'd have to bring the tools and show them how it worked.

I love making jewlery! I went to a class once and made a necklace. I have gotten so many compliments on it every time I wear it.

I buy the cheapy little kits to help my daughter make jewlery, but really want to go back and make myself something nice again.

I know to make chained and other fashion necklace. I learned it from my friend. When we make our own it is very cheap compared to buying in shops.

I make most of my bracelets. I used to make earings as well and actually sold some of them to a home industry shop. I love the creative process and there are so many shops with the loveliest beads that it is quite easy to make your own stuff. You can always be assure nobody else will have the same as you.

Homemade jewlery is also a great gift idea. It shows the person receiving the gift that you spent time and thought into what you have given them.

I haven't made jewelry since I took jewelry class in high school. My dad lived in Washington and i lived in Colorado. I used to always mail him what I made. It was a LOT of fun! I made rings, and key rings.

O ya and I made my grandma a necklace that she still wears everyday
