Default Is Freelance For You?

I started off freelance writing last year, and it was nice and fun because it was new, but I'm not sure that it's something that I want to do as a career. I don't like the idea of writing according to someone else's prompt. I want the opportunity to be creative and make things up. What do you think?

I have done freelance writing, it is a good way to earn - certainly much better than any phone job. However, you can get burnt out on it when you have done it for a while. I used to write product reviews, tens of them a day - not I can't bring myself to out together one, I'm so tired of it. Creative writing is a totally different story.

I get tired of freelance so easily. I haven't written any articles since last year, and even though I know that it's a good way to bring in extra money, I just can't bring myself to do it. I have to be passionate about what I'm writing.

I have tried doing just some articles for someone but the rate was kinda low and my hubby didn't liked the client so we canceled. =) I was just an amateur, yet my works were accepted lolz. I'm not really good at writing I still have a lot to learn from grammars and vocabulary words.

You know what you can do? Find online writing jobs that don't care what you talk about.. that's what I do. That way, it's more real and it's you. There's this new site I came across called forums.digitalpoint.com. The area that I use most is located here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=102 and there are HUNDREDS of people looking for writers for all sorts of things. I've been hired today on two forums. I got hired yesterday on a blog, and also as an article rewriter. It's pretty neat!

Thanks for the link; I'll check it out. I think that freelance is just a really fast way for a writer to burn out and not want to write anymore. I can't imagine never wanting to write again, and I want to prevent that from ever happening to me.

I have heard about Digitalpoint as a good source for writing job leads. I have not been checking it regularly since I have my plate pretty full right now, but other people comment on finding good stuff there, just like Brittany says.
