Since my childhood, whenever my father used to get a diary from his bank or office, i used to take it and decorated it with pictures and colors. I used to take autographs on that and also used them as a scrap book.

I've been writing in a diary since the age of 8 or 9. I am 20 now. I've always found it the best way for me to understand how I'm feeling and really see if I'm over-worrying or over-thinking something. Since I've started going to therapy recently, it's really helped me to realize where my panic attacks are caused and focusing on ways to stop them from happening. It's such a great, healing thing to do. I would recommend it to anyone. I love to write songs/poems/stories as well. It's fun to look at it afterward and feel proud that you've created something original. |

I find it very therapeutic to write in a journal as well. It is best to purge whatever thought and feelings that are disturbing us instead of them keeping them inside, and writing in a journal is one of the ways of doing it. It is also fun to record the fun moments in order to keep the memory alive as well |

I usually use recycled paper as my material in designing my own diary. I love to make new things out of used materials. How about you? All I need are papers, glue, and paint.

I love drawing - as long as I have different kinds of pens and crayons, I do my own little designs with those materials. I also like to keep my diary pages flat, this way, even when I draw things, it doesn't get all puffy and I can write over the drawings. It looks quite nice actually...

That's what I usually did, especially during my teenage years. Well, maybe decorating is one of my talent, I used do some abstract painting. How about you, what do you usually do with your art skill?

| I've been keeping a diary since I was about 9 years old. Cool thing is, I still have every single one of them. There were a few times I wanted to burn em because a lot of my past is very painful but I kept em because it's part of my life and I spent so much time creating them. I used to always decorate the cover of each of em. They all have they're own little theme. It's pretty cool!! I will keep them forever and if I ever have kids, they can have em

I've also had a diary most of my life from when I was about 11 years old. Now that I'm older, I look through them occasionally and they bring back to mind so many things I've forgotten as well as people who at one point in my life were very close to me but who I hardly see anymore now. It reminds me of things I have to be grateful for as well as some of the pains and hard times in my life. I think it's really a wonderful practice to have a diary or journal of sorts to remind you of the temporariness of situations and that everything is subject to change and to help you to live your life with circumspection. For those with a talent in decorating diaries, I think that would make a great little (or it could become big) business. People who enjoy writing like having nice diaries and notebooks to write on. |

I got my first diary when I was seven; my dad bought it for me. I've been writing in a diary or a journal since then. I don't really do a lot of decorating in the diary, but I do buy lots journals with pretty and colorful pages. Instead, I just take little things on the pages like movie ticket stubs.
