Default National Novel Writing Month

Is anyone else here participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)? It's my first year, and I'm trying everyday not to fall behind on my writing. It's been very fun and has made me want to get more of my ideas turned into novels.

I tried it, but failed miserably. Didn't even come close to the word amount needed. How did you do with your attempt?

My final word count was 57,598 words. I was going for at least sixty thousand, but I'm very pleased with my word count. I'm looking forward to participating next year. What about you?

I wanna look into that next year.. a few of you here on WF have mentioned it and I think that would really inspire me to get started. I've wanted to write a book for so long. I'm sure if I had deadlines and things, I would be more productive. Sometimes I need more than just creativity to get started. So, how did it go everyone?

Yes, I am definitely interested in doing it next year. My word count was very low this year, but at least I can set a goal of doing better next year than I did this year.

So how long do you have to write the novel? Do you really only have one month or is that just the month that everyone starts?

You only get the entire month of November to complete your novel. I'm going to do it again this year, so I'll be sure to keep my calendar clear. I'm also trying to use that one month structure to write some other works.
