Default Bead making

I really like making beads out of old magazines and junkmail. It's very therapeutic for me. And they end up looking really pretty when I make multi-strand necklaces and bracelets out of them!

Hmm how's that possible. I mean how about the color what do you do after you made the beads? I haven't thought of using paper as an accessory.

I don't quite understand how you make beads out of scrap papers. Can you be a little more specific please? It sounds quite interesting even though I can't even picture how it can be done.

Me too. I was thinking to harden the paper it's being soaked in glue or something. It's kinda hard to make a bead huh.

I knew someone who would cut magazine pages into narrow strips and then tightly roll them up. The end of the strip would be glued to stay together. These "rolls" could be later on put on a string, like beads. Perhaps this is what Crazy Talk is doing?

That sounds amazing and very good for the environment. Do you dye them different colors or just make them from different color paper?

This is really interesting, Crazy Talk. Do you have to make it like a papier mache or do you just ball the papers and color it? How is it done?

Do you have any special techniques that you use? How long does it take? I think that this could be a really fun activity for kids on a rainy day or something to do while watching TV.
