| I have been singing for as long as I can remember. My voice has always been a great way for me to get my emotions out. If I need to cry, I sing songs that bring out those emotions and just let the tears flow for as long as needed. When I am angry, I will sing songs that bring out that emotion and sing as loud as I can. It's such a healthy way to get all your different emotions out. Does anyone else like singing? Also, one of my dreams has always been to become a singer. I think I may do that, but not in the way I once thought. I'm thinking about possibly uploading videos on my website of me singing to start with, just to kinda boost my confidence a bit with it. I am VERY shy when it comes to singing in front of others and it takes me a LONG time to open up and sing in front of anyone new. I keep trying to tell myself it's not that big of a deal and I try to just let loose, but it's so hard, and my throat seems to close up. Any tips on how to get over that fear? I've always wanted to sing in talent shows, but never was able to..

As much as possible I hate to listen and sing to those heart melting songs. It makes me wanna cry till I'm not able to sing. I also have this breathing difficulty while crying so it's kinda bad for me. Although I've been singing since I was a little girl. My mom always make me sing in front of her co-workers during their Christmas party. =)) Then the manager will give me some treats for that. I kinda miss those days...

| Oh ya, I know what you mean. When I'm crying a LOT, then I have trouble singing because I can't breath and I have anxiety so it turns into a panic attack sometimes. Not fun. I'm happy to say I haven't cried like that in a LONG time That's a big deal for me, because I have anxiety and used to cry for days at a time.. it was lame

Alas, I am not a singer... I can possibly sing in a choir, but not solo. My voice isn't strong. I think the only way to overcome fear of singing in public is by doing it, starting from smaller gatherings. It is like with public speaking, you may be terrified at first, but if you keep doing it, you get used to it and get better. |

Oh yeah I also have this sort of stage fright. I'm too shy to let my voice out because I know it would be so loud. I've always been so shy about singing in front of thousands of people like what I did during hs. I was so scared that I got brainwashed while singing totally forgot the lyrics that was really an embarassing moment of my HS days.

| When I was younger, I used to perform (dance) in front of my school. It was the biggest rush I've ever had in my life.. there's something so fun about something that is so intimidating. I wish I could find the recording of the different events! There were always people recording us. Now, if I only could have had the same confidence with singing...

Yes, I love to sing as well and do so whenever the fancy strikes me I think singing is a wonderful way to relax my mind. And this is usually one of the ways I get into the meditative state. Singing empties my mind off of all other thoughts and that's just the perfect time for meditation.

How about trying for American Idol, have you ever thought about that? Pick a good song that will make your voice shine and make Simon's jaw drop!!! |
