Tea goes Green
Keeping fit is a challenge that many are finding difficult. To bring down the weight with no other side effects is difficult. Often problems like hair fall and tiredness occur with a regime of diet. I heard of Green tea as a delightful intervention at this juncture.
Use of Green tea has a long history of about 4000 years in China and Japan. Green tea is mainly made from the leaves of tea plant with scientific name Camellia sinensis. The processing of the tea leaves is slightly different in case of green tea and it is not like the usual black tea. With the widespread acclaim of Green tea, it is available nowadays in almost every shopping mall.
It is claimed that Green tea positively affects the weight loss by increasing the metabolic rate of the body. Many other health benefits such as control of diabetes, reduced heart problems, improved immunity, lower risk of Alzheimer's disease and lower stress levels are linked to regular use of green tea. It is also claimed that the higher anti-oxidants in the green tea will give you a glowing and younger looking skin.
Green tea gives best results when consumed without milk but with lemon juice. Lemon juice also adds to the vitamin consumption and the reduction in milk intake will help in weight reduction. Green tea enthusiasts advocate the use of it as it is easy to replace a daily cup of coffee with a cup of green tea and gain extra health benefits.
