Make-up can make you look good and cover the flaws on your face but it is very important to have a healthy skin and a healthy body. Besides eating the right diet and following a fitness regime it is also very important to make sure that you get enough sleep. Yes give the body the sleep that it requires. One must sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours a day. Make sure that you have regular hours for sleeping and waking up, this will stimulate your body. You can get into relaxation or meditation before bedtime, this will help you to have calm mind. Make sure that you take off the entire make up before you sleep so that your skin can breathe. To get a good sleep try washing your feet and sleeping, this also helps in getting a sound sleep. You can read a nice book before getting on to sleep. Do not indulge into any kind of exercise just before bedtime or sleep right away after a meal. This will make you feel tired and heavy. A night can help. Never force yourself to sleep as you will end up being awake.

Yeah everyone needs good sleep if they want to function properly. Sometimes I don't get it why people say they don't need a lot of sleep. I need at least 8 hours of undisturbed sleep before I can function normally otherwise my day would just be a waste and I'll only be cranky and annoyed all day.

| I always find myself covering up the dark circles underneath my eyes. It would be so much easier though, to just sleep more. I dunno what it is, but I always feel the need to stay awake. It's almost like the little kid inside me is worried it will miss something. I've felt that way my whole life. And, staying up all night is so fun for me for some strange reason. Maybe it's cuz I missed out on a lot of my childhood? I'm really not sure..

It's so much easier to not get enough sleep these days. There are many more distractions to keep us from resting. There's TV and, now there's the internet. It takes some real effort.

Warm shower every night relaxes me and helps me have a better night sleep. :-) Sleep is very important to keep us from premature aging, I believe.

I have read a few articles that stated that good sleep doesn't equal long sleep. Articles went on to mentioning that even if we got less than five hours of sleep, if it is restful, without interruptions, it would still allow the body and mind to regenerate the cells, thus getting us ready for another busy day.
