Default sleep time

Do you have a usual time in sleeping? Well, I always see to it that by 10-11pm, I am already done everything and ready to relax and travel to my dreamland.

I have lots of things to do before I sleep. By midnight, I am asleep. Would it still be fine or normal if we spend only 5 hours of sleep? What could be some of its disadvantages?

five hours is probably too little. the brain needs the rest to function
properly.

I am sleep at exactly 11 in the evening. What do you do to put yourself into sleep? As for me, I sing some songs and sometimes I read some book.

I dont have a fixed time of when to go sleep, it varies anytime from 10pm - 12am. I do wish that I had a fixed time to sleep so I would feel more fresh in the mornings.

Do you still complete your 8 hours sleep? My cousin told me, if you are already

adults 5-6 hrs sleep could be enough.

Hanna I also think that it depends on what a person job or duty is and what they do during the day. If someone works for a long 8 hours and its a difficult and tiring job, I would think that a person should get at least 7 hours of sleep. Fitness level and health also come into this, regarding how many hours you sleep.

I still need to sleep at least 8 hours a day cuz I feel so weak if it's below my quota and i'll definitely feel sleepy in the afternoon too. Besides how can you think fast if you lack rest.

I don't have a usual time for sleeping. Actually, I sleep only a few hours every night and I really have to be absolutely exhausted to be finally able to ''pass out'' - I have a sleeping disorder for which there is pretty much no relief. Thus, it might be 3 or 4 a.m. before I actually fall asleep at night, only to wake up again a couple of hours later...

I don't think there's any blanket statements that can be used when it comes to sleep. Some need more, some can function perfectly fine on 4-5 hours of sleep. I have a friend who only needs about 5 hours of sleep a night, and he's fine - and doesn't drink caffeine of any kind! I'm amazed by that... but he's amazed by my boyfriend and I's almost vampiric sleep schedule. We're wide awake until 4 or 5 am, sleep until 10 or 11 am, get up and go to work... rinse and repeat. We're definitely not morning people... we eat dinner around 10 pm, which hour-wise is a perfectly acceptable dinner hour, since we know we're going to be awake for another 6 hours!

I don't have a set bedtime, it depends on what I need to get done on a specific day, and I tend to stay up late, too. I need at least 8 hours of sleep to function well. I can go on less, but not for long.

I read books to put myself into sleep. Although I like to sing, it seems that the music doesn't like me at all. Do you have some kids? I would sometimes ask them to massage me. It is a very helpful way to put a person into sleep.

I'm terrible when it comes to setting a bedtime. It really depends on my day. Typically, my body wants to go to bed pretty early.. like 9pm-11pm, but I end up staying up till like 1-5am because of my bfs and my work schedule. So.. that may be really what did it to me. I think it's a really hard thing to set a time and stick to it, but I've always heard that it's the best thing you could do for your body
