Default Tips on Aging & Illness

May be you live in a developed country. Life is much better here. For many in this world, longevity is an unfulfilled dream. From birth to an older age, they simply go through hell. Due to lack of knowledge and improper health care facilities they are left alone to face death.

Do you know?

75% of cardiovascular diseases and 45 % of cancers are a result of malnutrition and improper diet.

Wait, this statistics did not come from Africa, neither Asia. It belongs to the most powerful and wealthiest nation in the world. Yes, you guessed right, this is an excerpt from the report of Surgeon General of US.

Don’t let this happen again. We can avoid this by spending a little time in organizing our diet.

Effects of Malnutrition

It starts with child deaths during pregnancy. Apart from newborns, his mother too faces a risk of mortality. Even if you survive those tense moments of life, it comes to the lack of nutrition in both mother and child. Inappropriate diet by pregnant women will cause a deficiency in nutrients. As the child depends completely on mother, he will have to face the consequences. Malnutrition in pregnant women will affect the growth of fetus. It may also damage the development of brain, internal organs and handicap the child before he is born.

As he is born deficient, he may not be lucky enough to live a normal man’s life. The effect does not cease itself to be physical; there are many studies that indicate the effect of malnutrition in character and mental fitness. We may not like to hear these things, but they speak the truth. Even in developed and developing countries, addiction to fast food, new generation snacks, colas and all those weird stuff are pulling people away from a healthy and nutritious diet.
An aging heart

You don’t need an introduction to heart. Still, let me tell you, our heart is a pump made of muscles. Our heart meets the blood requirement by various cells by trying different combination's of blood pressure and volume. Every action we perform; may it be eating, running, walking or even sleeping, pose different demands of blood supply. A healthy hearts adjusts itself to this randomly varying demand.

An aging body marks its presence by making the arteries stiffer and less flexible than before. It is arteries that carry oxygen rich blood to different cells in the body. Now, heart tries to overcome these clogged arteries by increasing the blood pressure. This puts our heart at risk.

Avoid this by

1. Exercise
2. Meditation
3. Controlling cholesterol
4. Nutritious diet
5. Controlling blood pressure

Thank you for that informative post, IBF. Does it necessary to allocate a constant time for your exercise? Sometimes, I did walking but it only depends on my mood. Do you think I have to do this every morning or afternoon?

Other ways to help with the aging and illness is to try to avoid having a stressful life. Many people with lots of things going in their life will look to unhealthy habits like drugs, alcohol, eating, etc. to help them deal with their problems. Don't forget to keep your mind active constantly.
