Default Headache in left part of head

Since a couple of days, i have been having an annoying pain in the left part of my head just above the temples. Its like a headache really but only to one side. I have taken some painkillers for the first day it didn't really help, my mum also came round and massaged my head, that didn't really seem to help either.

It kind of comes and goes, so I dont have all the time, what could it be and how can i get this sorted out?

Sonia because you have been having a headache for a couple of days now and that too in one part of the head I would suggest to go and see the doctor asap. You have taken painkillers and that hasn't obviously worked, so it better to have it checked out.

If you can't get rid of the headache, then I would definitely advise seeing a doctor.

I get headaches like this alot, just over one eye. I take some advil and hop in bed to sleep it off. It is always gone by the next day.

Sonia, are you wearing spectacles? Whether you are wearing them or not.. you better have an eye checkup. If there is some minor fluctuation in your eye power might also be the cause of your headache.. just have a checkup with the doctor..

i agree with you on that..consulting a doctor would be the best.. if it still persist after taking over the counter drugs..

It's hard to say what's going on. It could be that you're stressed, not drinking enough water.. I would talk to your doctor though to be ssure

Hello sonia.

There are several reasons why you get headache, if it keeps on recurring, you must ask your doctor. But as far as I know, one sided headache may mean you have migraine. Is the pain getting worse with sound and flashes of light?
