Default Boil?

Has anyone ever had a boil? I think that is what I have. It is about the size of a peanut, just under my skin. It doesn't hurt at all. At first I thought it was an ingrown hair, but my sister looked at it and she use to always get boils and she said she thought it was a boil.
Still waiting for it to drain out~ using drawing sauve.
Any suggestions?

Eeww..doesn't sound very good.

Have you tried to hot pack it? Take a wash cloth and wet it. Stick it in the microwave for about 10 seconds. Touch it easy before you grab it. When it is just a bit hotter than you can stand--take it and place it on your boil. That draws fluid as well.

I would do that in between putting the suave on it.

Good luck. It sounds painful.

Yes I have had 1-- and they are awful. Mine was on my inner leg and not in a great spot.

I took a hot washcloth several times a day and put it right on it. I think my friend Sweet told me that. It popped within 3 or 4 days. It was gross though when it popped. There was all kinds of nasty stuff inside it.

It drained for a couple of days- I wore a band-aid over it.

Good luck

It actually hasn't drained yet, but seems to be getting smaller. Someone told me that they can move to a different area~ is that true?

I have no idea. I have never had a boil, but they do sound horribly uncomfortable.

Why do people get them in the first place?

Heat treatment is the good idea for boil. It will be painful but it will gradually get smaller and disappear.

It did just disappear. I thought that it would somehow drain or something, but it is now gone

If it didn't hurt, then you most likely didn't have a boil. I've had one before and believe me, they're painful. Mine got huge on the back of my thigh and it hurt to walk. I had to go to the doctor to get it lanced. Whatever it was, I'm glad to hear it's going away for you.

After a hot compress, one good thing to apply to a boil is bentonite clay, if you can get hold of some. Bentonite clay is great for sucking out the toxins from one's body. It also works for pimples.

A boil is that which pains a lot & the pain is horrible, can't bear it, i experienced it when i was small. As you said it's not paining and moving from it's place, it is not certainly a boil, and might be a nodule, which is not harmful and no need to worry.
