Default Sleeping too much

Is it possible to sleep too much? I used to think yes, but I've been reading a lot lately and have seen that a lot of people say no. If you don't require sleep, your body won't let you fall asleep. How much do you sleep a night? I can easily sleep for 12 hours haha. I feel like I sleep my life away

It is really possible, when I have nothing to do in the next morning I sleep 12 hours instead of 8. Now that I have an office work, I only sleep at least 8 hours so that I wont get sleepy while working.

You don't have to wait until you are too tired. You need to sleep after 16 hours that you are active. If not, you are draining your brains out.

That sounds like a good rule. I doubt I could even last that long anyway Napping is amazing

I can also sleep 12 hours, that is if I don't have work the following day, and I am too tired. But I can't do it now because I have a son who wakes up early.

If you are still sleepy after a night's sleep, perhaps you have a medical condition that impedes your sleep. If you can regularly sleep for 12 hours a night, then you should discuss with your health care provider.

This is a good guideline. Usually, people would overuse their body and work beyond 16 hours. Some would just sleep for 5 hours a day. So maybe, the brains will be slow if we lack sleep.
