I can't help but be afraid of doctors. I always feel like they're going to poke me with a needle. I know it sounds weird, but I always start crying/shaking when I have to see the doc. I always sweat like crazy too

Doctors don't poke you with needles, nurses do! So you're afraid of the wrong kind, LOL.

They are not that bad, really. My doctor is very nice and professional. He does not order blood tests often, either.

Well I got poked with a needle thrice! I don't think it was meant to be since she injected me thrice in one part of my arm. I was thinking she got mistaken twice and I hate her for doing that. T_T I don't like needles.

That's a good point. I guess I've been confused my whole life lol
I would be soooo freaked out if it took them a few times lol.. OMG! I would lose my mind. Ick!! Just thinking about it makes me all freaked out

Perhaps you only fear it because you have never had it done, so you don't know what to expect and how much taking a blood draw really hurts. With a good, experienced nurse, it is not that painful. You only feel it for less than a second when she pokes, and then there is no pain at all.

Lol that's good! See, my bf makes it sound so terrifying. He's like "you can feel the blood being sucked out of you" haha. Then again, he's terrified so that's probably why. It's sooo dramatic for him.. it makes me feel bad. He would probaby almost cry if you had a needle near him

Your bf is making fun of you. haha. Its not that painful if you relax your muscles during the procedure.

The only time they will have to use a needle is if you require a shot - your fear is probably stemming from your childhood.
