Default Restless leg syndrome

Do any of you have leg cramps or pain in the leg muscles especially when you lie down or when sleepy? You could be suffering from what is known as Restless leg syndrome

Restless leg syndrome or RLS is characterised by painful, unpleasant or weird sensations in the legs and later if chronic in the arms and torso. As the name suggests the person suffering form RLS keeps moving his or her legs in an attempt to get some relief from the unpleasant sensations he or she is experiencing. RLS can be quite mild that you move your legs ease your pain and sleep through it or it can be severe enough to cause you sleepless nights and hence fatigue ridden days.

If you are experiencing such pain that seems triggered of by lying down or trying to sleep you should seek medical help and not try ease it by applying pain balms .The cause of RLS could be as easily treated as low Iron or folate levels or chronic diseases such as diabetes, varicose veins, Kidney problems, Parkinson’s disease or RLS associated neuropathy. If you are pregnant and you notice you have RLS symptoms you will probably be relieved of this post delivery.

Avoiding RLS triggering substances such as Caffeine, tobacco and alcohol may help reduce the occurrence of RLS.Though as of now RLS has no cure and is noticed to get worse with age. Medications that help one to relax may work to relieve sleeplessness.

I feel like I must have this because I have issues getting comfortable. Could this have something to do with why I wake up a lot during the night, and have issues with falling asleep? It can literally take me hours to get to sleep and once I do, I wake up quite a bit and sometimes will stay in bed for like 12 hours lol. My legs can't get comfortable. I know I need to stay away from the caffeine.

I just have issues with sleeping and without the caffeine, I don't have the same amount of energy, so I've just become really reliant on coffee. I'm sure it's going to take some time to get off the coffee. I know that my depression pills (Citalopram) gives me energy so maybe it's the pills keeping me up and the coffee isn't needed

Hmm.. that's weird because I swear I have more energy since I've been taking it. Maybe I'm just happier so I don't get so tired
