Default What do you do when you got a fever?

Do you always just stay in bed and rest all day when you're sick or you still do moving around the house just to sweat away the fever?

For me, it depends on how bad the fever is. Most the time, I will just end up sleeping all day and trying to not have to deal with feeling sick. Sometimes, I'll force myself to get up and do things..

I also feel that way sometimes I get tired of sleeping all day since mostly my fever always lasts for more than 2 days so I need to at least move when I need to go to the restroom.

I don't have much of a choice. Having two children means I have to just get on with my day as best as I possibly can. I do try to tak in a lot of liquids; anything from water, hot lemon drinks and good old English tea.

Last time I had a fever was during my Senior year of High School and I watched a 12 hour marathon of Hannah Montana

I rarely get fevers and when I do, I try to move around and go about my business as usual. I believe in ''what you resist persists'' thus letting it take its course is the best way to get rid of it as fast as possible.

It depends on how sick I am. The last time I had fever I was still working. I just took Paracetamol every 4 hours and when the fever subsided I was back to my usual activities. There are cases when fever is accompanied by malaise, headaches etc and that's the time that I really rest.

Actually, I did have a fever about a month ago. I totally forgot. However, it was only like 30 mins long and then gone. It must have been something I ate?

Ya, it was really strange actually. I don't understand it! I had been sleeping right before, so maybe it was happening for a while and I didn't notice? Not sure

If nothings serious I simply take some paracetamol & take a nap for 30-45mins. I feel more fresh after waking up & I get back at working. But if it still persists then may be its better to visit a doctor.
