I have two cats and they both got fleas this summer and brought them into the house. The little critters must think I am really tasty because I got bitten a lot during the summer, but I have been left with scars on my legs from scratching. Is there anything I can do to treat the scars and insect bites to stop the itching? |

Well, you can start with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). You put that on if it's not serious, and it will sting a lot if you've been doing a lot of scratching. If it gets out of control, you may need to talk to a doctor for something stronger.

I always used bug spray on them. (The anti-itch stuff) That seemed to work for me. I am the same as you, whenever there are fleas around, no one else gets bit, but I always do like crazy. It must be something to do with the way we smell or something.. no idea.

| You don't apply alcohol to insect bites or rashes because it will get more itchy. You can apply steroid cream like hydrocortisone to stop the inflammation and itchiness.

There are creams available for insect bites. It will stop the itchiness and remove inflammation too.
