| I have a terrible memory and it has just gotten worse over the years. It may just all be in my head, but I am so scared of finding out that I have Alzheimers. I get so frustrated with myself, because I forget the simplest things. It takes me a VERY long time to learn things. I have to repeat them over and over in my head.. it's very annoying

My memory before was so photographic. Now I can't seem to make it function well I even forgot some names which I just mentioned earlier. I think this is due to my low blood pressure.

I have read that Alzheimer's Disease and dimentia are often confused. The thing is that they cannot be told apart until the person is dead and the brain has been properly examined. There are a lot of things that you can do to make sure that your mind stays intact. Just make sure that you keep your mind active. Read a book, do a crossword puzzle, exercise, etc.

Alzheimer's is a horrible, debilitating condition. My daughter's great-grandma suffers from it and most of the days, she can't remember who she is or she doesn't even recognize her own daughter. Even though she has been treated for many years, it seems to get worse every day. It is unfortunate that the disease basically eat your brains. What is fascinating though is that she has very clear memories of her earlier years. She remembers everything so clearly that my mother-in-law is sometimes shocked with the details she gives out.

Yeah it's really a sad disease I can't bear to see someone in my family having that it's going to tear me apart when someone can't even recognize anyone. @_@ I wish there will be a solution to this.
