Has anyone gotten their flu shot this year? Are you going to? I got a regular seasonal flu shot done a couple weeks ago. Today, my mother went to get one, and the place was full - it was the first day they began giving shots after running out of the vaccine. There were many kids there, too, and most of them were scared of the shot, LOL. |

I don't get the flu shots as I never ever get sick. Besides, there is no hard proof that flu shots do anything and I am not quite sure what the longterm effects are either.

I am not convinced that flu shots are that great, either. I got mine this year only because I am pregnant, and my doctor said that I should get vaccinated; otherwise, the risks of flu complications are too high, both for the mother and the baby.

![]() As to the shot itself, it is quickly done, and there might be some flu-like symptoms after that. I didn't have any though. |

| I have never gotten a flu shot, but I'm starting to think I should, because when I get sick, it hits me HARD. I mean, I'll lose my voice for weeks at a time. It's not fun! I always thought flu shots were only for the elderly.. lol. I really had no idea.
