Default Anyone scared of going to the dentist? :)

Is anyone here scared of going to the dentist?

I used to be, due to some bad experiences as a child. Same with my husband, he had a rough dentist growing up. However, the technology has advanced so much today. Most procedures are painless now.

Weeew I've always been afraid to go to the dentist. Even if my tooth is aching so hard that medicines doesn't work on me I still don't want to go to the dentist. I've been to some who actually tapped my aching tooth oh it hurts even more!

That's terrible reira!! You need to find a good dentist who would be more considerate. I've been going to mine without thinking much about it. The worst part can be the shot, but then everything goes numb and I don't feel a thing as the dentist works on me.

Yeah good thing my hubby's family has a good family dentist. He's considerate about not tapping my aching tooth because he can see how painful it is when my cheek is already swelling. o.o I so hate the previous dentists I had before.

I had a very bad experience with my dentist in my teenage years and it had left quite the scar on me. But since we can't avoid going to the dentist, I did a lot of research before finding another one. I am not afraid of going to the dentist now, as he is one of the most attentive people and he informs me of what he's doing every step of the way to reassure me. Plus, most procedures are virtually painless now and this makes it even easier now to go to the dentist.

Wow that's a good dentist huh. How I wish dentists here would be that gentle and considerate about their patients feelings. O.O Some dentists here don't care about how painful it is to have an aching tooth they just tap it to make it worse.

I've always been terrified of the dentist up until I met one that was really patient and gentle with me. I always get scared of choking on the water, as funny as it sounds. lol!!
