Default Good night sleep

Generally it's people who are too busy and have a habit of working late night are more pron to wrinkles and early aging of the body. our body also needs rest and atleast 6-8 hrs. of sleep every night especially sleep during 11-3 in the night is very important and is called "Beauty Sleep".

Also it is important to sleep only during the night ie. when it is dark as opposed to in the morning or mid afternoon. The body is more relaxed that ways. Also the sleep duration required is different for differnet people. For some it would be just and for some 9.

Thats true but the prescribed sleep is of 6-8 hours which is required for a normal healthy person. Excessive cut in sleeping hours may evevtually lead to Insomnia.

lack of slep could cause poor concentration, focus, and memory. it could also cause low energy level and motivation loss. it is also a major contributor to the development of horrible zits and premature aging!

It is true that you should get 6-8 hours of sleep. This is also good for weight loss. If you sleep regularly 6-8 hours you are more likely to loose weight when dieting.

Some people work the night shift have to sleep during the daytime. I would suggest that you get the blinds that block out all of the sunlight. This makes you sleep better because you are in a dark room.

Really? If you get 6 to 8 hours of sleep helps you when you are trying to lose weight?

I have never heard that before. Geesh--if that is all I need....lol

I've never heard of getting more sleep to lose weight too. Heck I almost always get that amount of sleep. Why aren't the pounds dropping off?

Plenty of water and sleep is also good for your skin too!

I have to admit that I'm up at least once a night, sometimes more than that- I haven't slept through the night in years. I wish I could!

I am a "night owl" - I tend to stay up late, it is easier for me to function that way rather than push myself out of bed early in the morning and then feel miserable for most of the day. So I am often up and working after 11:00 in the evening, but I usually catch up on my sleep later. I think we should also consider what works best for our body.

Getting enough sleep is essential for the body to regenerate especially our skin. On the other hand, too much sleep may also cause problems.

I have read that too much sleep can weaken your sleep system. Your body is not awake for long enough to absorb enough sunlight, get enough exercise or partake of enough tiring activities. Too much sleep can actually weaken your immune system leading to lowered resistance to colds, flu or worse.

I'm pretty much the same way. I get up around 10 am and start my day. I'm usually up late working and go to bed around 12am-1am. I don't function too well early in the morning. I'm a night owl at heart.

I am a night owl as well, I can stay up working until 2-3 in the morning, and it does not feel tiring to me. Getting up early in the morning though has always been a problem.

You never know. I have read about a condition somewhat close to sleepwalking when people get up (without waking up) and go eat. They don't remember it afterward, and sometimes they eat weird, inedible stuff, too.

I can't sleep more than three or four hours a day and it is mostly during the day. No matter how hard I tried, I just can't seem to sleep at night. What is really strange is that I am much more productive during the night than during the day. So, I get everything done at night time, providing it is not something that causes everyone else to wake up of course...

Yeah, I'm one of such type, I'll always spend more time in night till I heard about this in one media. Now a days I wrap up all my works before 10pm and have good sleep. I can really see the difference. I feel fresh next day and I feel relaxed.

I'm having some sleeping disorders which makes me now a nocturnal person. I feel so weak during the morning. Now I'm sleeping at 6am-12 noon. No matter what I do I just can't fall asleep that fast.

I used to sleep a lot more when I was younger. I'd get 8 - 9 hours a night and often take a 1 hour nap during the day. I'm 41 now and can no longer take naps... not sure why. I also started developing insomnia in my 30's, found out I was allergic to wheat and cut it out of my diet. Once I did that, my insomnia went away. Pretty weird, huh? But I still can't take naps anymore and now I only sleep 6 - 8 hours.

I find it extremely difficult to sleep a full 8 hours and also just falling asleep at the same time. I was wondering if you had any tips?

I used to drink hot milk a lot before bed and it really does help. I learned it from one of my teachers.

I have a horrible time with sleep.... Either I can't fall asleep or I wake up and then have a restless night.
But yah, I agree with needing beauty sleep.. I look so much better, fresher or something, when I've had a deep sleep.
