| Just a little background on myself for you. I have been dealing with anxiety, depression and OCD for as long as I can remember. I always thought there was something different about me, but thought I was alone and didn't realize there was a way for me to get help. Well, I found out a few months ago, that I was wrong. There are SO many people out there who are currently suffering from these 'disorders' (I hate to call them that) and many things like them. There are so many things you can do to make your life easier! First off, if I would advise finding a therapist and really letting her know what's going on inside your head. Are you upset? Are you angry? Is there something in your past that may have added to this frustration? He/she will work with you and give you exercise ideas, and books you can read. A book that I have found EXTREMELY helpful is called The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook. Also,I found many forums for people just like me I think the thing that honestly helped me the most was being open with those around me and telling them how I was feeling and trying to think more positive. It's amazing how your mind really does make such a huge difference in your health! Also, remember to find time for yourself. Don't dwell on your pain too much. Keep in mind, you'll never be the person you used to be, and yes-you'll have to deal with this for the rest of your life, but that's okay! It doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. I find it very helpful and fulfilling to give back. I like to talk to others who are going through the same thing and give them ideas on how they may be able to better deal with their anxiety, or whatever they're going through. Please, feel free to message me anytime. You are not in this alone! There is sooo much help for you out there! Keep your chin up and you will get through this. Be patient with yourself and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

| Thank you for sharing. I agree with you, just not being afraid of it is an amazing thing. It's really mind over matter so much of the time. I mean, simply waking up in the morning and saying, "I am refreshed. I am ready. Today is going to be a good day" really creates a true vibe for the entire day. The more I work on my positive self talk, the better I feel. Also, keeping busy and making sure you have good, supportive people around you.. it just makes life so much more fun! I'm thinking about coming off my meds soon. I think I can deal with it on my own. I have strengthened my positive thinking skills and also my ability to communicate with others. I used to be so closed up and everything built up. It's best to let it out, and talk when you need to! It's like therapy, but you don't have to pay ![]() ![]() ![]()
