Default Sweating At Night

During the night while sleeping my husband always gets really sweaty and literally is drenched at night. He sweats no matter whether its hot or cold, whether hes got a duvet or not! He has also had blood tests done and everything is normal.

He doesn't even recall on any dreams or anything, what could this be?

Does this happen to anyone else?

It could be a condition called idiopathic hyperhidrosis. It is when the body produces a lot of sweat without any identifiable cause. I tried to look up and see if there were any remedies for it online before I posted this but I haven't been able to really find anything.

I used to sweat a lot in my sleep, and then I just stopped putting the blanket on me at night. After that, the sweating stopped. Sweating at night can be caused by other things like stress or worry. Why don't you just talk to him and see if he's worried about anything.

I don't think so if it's normal or not. Maybe, your husband is being condition to have sweat at night. You may feel cold but for him it's still hot. But, did you asked your doctor why is it happening?

Have him tested for hyperthyroidism as well. I used to experience that, and I found out that I had hyperthyroidism. If it is only at night that he is profusely sweating then it is not idiopathic hyperhidrosis.

Weird you'd mention this, because I've been this way for as long as I can remember, and it drives me CRAZY. Does anyone have any tips on how to get it to stop? I try to stay extra cold and have a fan going, and I also try to drink more water before bed, but all that seems to do is make me have to get up tons of times during the night to use the bathroom hahaha
