Best doubt in making sprouts. Any type of grams are suggested in making sprouts and in eating them.
1.Take required amount of grams in a bowl, tonight.
2.Wash & soak them in water till next day morning.
3.Wash them after bulging, to avoid from getting spoiled & dry to air to avoid from getting moistured.
4. Take a clean, washed light cotton cloth & wet it.
5. Keep all the washed grams in the cloth & wrap the cloth, neither tight nor loose.
6.Keep wrapped till next day morning, you can see sprouts coming out from the cloth.

The other method of making sprouts is:
1.Take grams in a bowl, wash & soak them in water, tonight.
2.After soaking till the next day morning, wash them & dry to air.
3. Take a container with holes around it.
4. Keep the soaked grams in the container tii the 2nd day, you can see sprouts readily coming out of the holes of the container.
Now a days, sprout maker is available in the market too.

So you don't actually cook them? Just soak in water for two days?

I have never made sprouts, I hear they are very healthy, but I wouldn't know where to start. I'm not sure I'd like the taste of them just by themselves, either, I'd need something else to go with. I have had rice with some sprouts added at a restaurant, that was good!

Raw sprouts are the best though you can have then cooked too.... to add a zing to your sprouts add a squeeze of lemon ,salt and pepper .... i like to eat mine with haldirams bhujias mixed in .. but make sure you add them last or else they will go soggy and not give you the crunch....
To Happy healthy eating..............

Healthy food itself means natural or raw ones, then how can you mix haldirams bhujias, salt, pepper? then what's the benefit in having sprouts for health if you see for taste?
