Thumbs up Spices

Spices occupy a prominent place in Indian cuisine. Coriander (dhania seeds), ajwain seeds and cumin (Jeera seeds) relieve stomach gas and indigestion. Cloves (laung) relieves toothache, coughs ands colds. Saunf reduces abdominal colic and bloating and cinnamon (dalchini) reduces abnormal blood clotting and helps insulin production.

I think that the modern life gives us a lot of opportunities to help our digestive system be in a good condition with consuming of spices. It is very hard to overestimate the role of spices in the process of living of the whole organism. But please don't forget to consult with your doctor before consuming excessively exotic spices.

These are very common Indian spices & don't need consultation from physician; of course until you are not sensitive (allergy) to spices. Many of these spices feature in Ayurveda which have somehow managed to make their way into lives of Indian people centuries ago.
