Thumbs up Healtheir Ways to Eat Meat

• Combine meat with salad vegetables and sprouts, which can be consumed raw in the form of a large salad. The live enzymes in these vegetables facilitate easier digestion of meat.
• Marinate the meat in lemon juice, curd or vinegar overnight in the fridge before cooking. This makes the meat more easily digestible and retains the nutrients better.
• Avoid organ meals like liver and brain, as they are sources of highly concentrated cholesterol. Egg yolk is a good source of cholesterol (220 mg/egg) while one goat brain has the same amount of cholesterol as 10-12 eggs!

I don't eat liver or brain, YUCK!!

I like the idea of marinating meat to make it more digestible, I'll need to do that more often. Another thing I do (sometimes, LOL) is steaming meat instead of frying. It is healthier that way, too.

I love liver, it's one of my favorites and it is very rich in iron.

Another thing to do is to choose lean cuts of meat and remove any excess fat before cooking. If you cook chicken breasts, you should remove the skin first. You should also avoid processd meats like sausages, burgers etc.

o.O people eat brains?
Eating Papaya after a meal containing meat is also a good option. Papaya contains proteolytic enzymes which helps digestion of animal protein. I guess it’s also recommended in Ayurveda.
