The Best way to eat nuts and dry fruits
1. Wash nuts : Two or three times in water before eating is healthy. Fruits and nuts are dried under the sun or artificially. Before being dried, they are subjected to fumigation with sulphur dioxide (SO2).
2. Eat raw nuts: Nuts are best eaten raw as frying or roasting leads to deterioration in the quality of fats (makes them rancid), which is more harmful than beneficial. There is deterioration in the proteins as well. Excess roasting leads to formation of toxins.
3. Rich supplement for vegetarians: Vegetarians can easily get all the essential amino acids (which meat-eaters get from animal proteins) simply by eating a handful of raw nuts and seeds everyday.
