Default Oatmeal Recipes

My father likes eating oatmeal the traditional way (cooked in water, add sugar and milk). So we have lots of whole oats at home. The problem is he is in the states now with my mother and I am home alone. I don't want all those oats to go to waste and I don't know anybody to give it too.

Do you have recipes you can share? I know I can make it into cookies, but I'm too lazy to bake a batch when the only one who would eat it is me

I found one online, it's making adding oatmeal to pancakes. You just soak the oats in water or fresh milk and then add to ready to cook pancake mix. It's delicious and works for.

Any other suggestions?

I love oatmeal. When I was younger, and my mom bought the variety pack, we were always stuck with the two plain flavors that no one wanted to eat. We put jelly in them. Now, I think it would taste better with honey, almonds, and walnuts. Just turn it into a healthy snack.

Mix it up with fruit yogurt and have it as a snack or light breakfast. That's how I eat them if I am not in the mood to bake cookies with.
