It's tough to get a daily requirement of protein in sometimes, so it was recommended I try protein shakes. Is there any way to make them taste a little bit better without ruining the nutritional value of them? I've tried milk and yogurt... any other ideas?

Would a protein shake start to taste weird if you were to put some whole grain wheat in it? I know it's a good source for protein. If you don't mind your shake tasting a little strange see if you can put some other ingredients like peanuts or nuts in there.

Is there such a thing as chocolate-flavored protein shake? ![]() A friend of mine used to take protein shakes, she was into bodybuilding, so she drank them to help increase the muscle mass. Based on that, I thought that protein shakes were mostly for bodybuilders, I didn't realize that they can be taken just for nutrition. |

I used to drink them in place of meals. I added frozen fruit or bananas and yogurt. You just have to experiment until you find what you like.

That sounds interesting to drink shakes in place of meals, but do you miss eating at all? I feel like we people get some kind of psychological satisfaction from the actual act of eating and chewing.

Could we shake all the protein rich food? Actually, I would only shake fruits and some vegetable. If you want to, you could add some sugar to taste. Milk and chocolate is fine as well.
