I don't mind doing my own pedicures, but I find they get boring. Does anyone have suggestions on how to "snazz up" a mundane pedicure? Are there any special foot soaks that do most of the work for you? |

What you want in a good soak is something that feels good and QUICKLY softens the skin so you can get calluses off. I use epsom salts in water as hot as I can stand it. I think you could also use dishwashing detergent. Products that have urea or uric acid (can't remember which) will help soften skin. I think it's more soaking time than what you soak your feet in, but that's just me. |

Thought it is health oriented, then it won't get bored. Pedicure also helps in correcting the hydration level in your feet. Pedicure will reduce he risk of bacterial infections.....

I haven't found anything that softens my feet faster, for me it's all about being distracted. I don't soak in the bathroom, I take a washing bowl of hot water and take it to the living room so I can watch TV at the same time or in my bedroom with an audibook going. It's a lot better than just staring at wet feet for ages The longer I leave them soaking the faster the sloughing off part is, never spend more than five minutes on that.
