Manicure is a treatment to beautify your fingers, nails and hands. Manicures will require you to soak your hands in warm water. You will the have to apply a good hand lotion. Filing and shaping the nails and applying nail polish will then follow. Salons also offer something called as French manicures. You can easily give yourself a professional manicure at home. But you will first have to collect all the tools required to do the job. What you need is a professional knowledge and information about the procedure of manicure and some simple tools to help you get the job right. Then you can have beautiful hands and fingers with out going to the salon.

I manicure my hands all the time. I used to go to salons and have it done for me, but I got tired of doing that, especially when I learned how to do it myself. It's not difficult and I consider it a part of good grooming. It takes very little to learn how to cut and file your nails and to push back or remove unsightly cuticle. That's really the basics of a manicure. Now applying polish well and other added things, that takes a little more skill (unless it's clear polish).
