I found steam very beneficial for my hair, I usually steam my hairs twice a month. Steam makes the roots of hair strong and makes them shiny.

I've never tried steaming my hair before. How exactly is it done and how often is it good to do it? I am not sure that I understand how the steam makes your hair stronger either - could you explain?

I thought steam is for food only haha. Just kidding. Anyway I haven't heard of a method such as hair steaming. I bet no one here has found out about that yet.

In the Philippines, the salons do a treatment where they apply coconut oil to the hair and then put the head under a steam machine. It lubricates the hair and scalp and just makes it generally healthy.

Hmm strange I think our place is a bit outdated when it comes to salon stuffs. I did some hot oil treatment but I didn't undergo some steam machine.

| Steams should be always done with caution and its better if you don't use it much. Because, steams cause a lot of problems due the temperature, excess steam will make your hair fragile and lead to hair fall sometimes. so use it in safe zone or never use it.

Yes.. you are right.. steam may make the roots stronger, shiny.. but it must be done by very experienced persons.. because.. excess steam may lead to damage of hairs.. and you may loose your hair... |
