What causes hair loss in women? How do you recover your loss of hair? |

When hairloss can't be blamed on your beautician, it is most often caused by hormones. It also happens when women diet too much or too often. Stress can make hair fall out faster and grow thinner, but it rarely creates total baldness or bald spots. |

I do not have total baldness or bald spots...just thinning spots if you really look and if I do not comb it properly... |

Stress is a major factor to hair loss, but a good diet can help. Another thing which should be done is to oil the hair regularly. This i have seen is not popular in foreign or western countries and yet is a common thing to be done in countries like India or Pakistan. Im sure if you start oiling your hair with a good oil an hour before you wash you hair, you will see a difference. |

There is a difference between real hair loss and breakage. A lot of products protect against breakage, but not actual hair fall. I believe that oiling the hair makes the hair less dry and brittle and less prone to breakage, but does not do anything to wake up a dying hair folicle. While stress and diet can be factors in hairloss, the reason women lose their hair is the same as the reason men lose their hair.. GENETICS.. Sorry ladies but you can change your jeans, but you can't change your genes. Some things that can help.. Regular stimulation of the scalp. Brush your hair with a soft bristle brush for five minutes twice a day. This help stimulate the scalp and maintain blood flow.. Good blood flow to the hair folicles can help keep them active longer. Topical applications such as Rogaine for women- NEVER EVER EVER use a mans formula as it can damage your reproductive system. and read all instructions carefully. Thickening shampoos. I use Nioxin and also Paul Mitchel for fine thin hair. I haven't noticed any new hair growth, but the hair that I do have does more to cover my scalp and it appears thicker. Hair transplantation. If you are thinning on the crown of your head, you may be a good candidate for a hair transplant. A lot of women get transplants, but not many like to talk about it! |

There are lot of factors contribute of falling hair, might be the strong chemicals used when your doing dyes, curling your hair and with strengthening ingredients. Lack of proper nutrition can also be a reason of hair fall. Too much sun exposure may dries up your hair and damage.

Stress is known to be one of the reasons for hair loss, but there are many other factors involved too. You don't actually realize but when you use hair products such as gels, hair sprays, mousse and other things. But something else which can cause damage to the hair resulting in hair loss is using too many heated products which is generally dryers, straighteners and heated curlers. You begin to realize the hair loss and bad condition of your hair with time. But for those who do use dryers and straightners, heated curlers I would recommend you use a hair protector, which comes in a form of either spray or serum types, this will actually protect your hair from the heat, and cause either no or very minimal damage. As far as hair products are concerned well try using them less as possible. |

Hi, In my opinion hair colors and hair products cannot cause you to loss your hair. This may be partly true especially if you only have your hair done in regular but safe intervals. Too much bleaching, repeated coloring and rigorous drying however will definitely damage your hair. Among some people the scalp may be damaged as well, which may possibly cause some hair loss. To stop hair losses first keep an eye on your hairstyle. Eat right & exercise, vitamin supplements, Medication and use herbs. Definitely these tips should be helpful for your hairs. |

My aunt had a stress-related alopecia about 2 years ago and lost hair on two patches of her head. She went to see a doctor who referred her to a trichologist who said that the follicles had literally just frozen, but the root was still alive. He recommended a course of electrical "shock" treatment to stimulate the root into growing hair again but he quoted some ridiculous price for it - around £700 for 5 sessions. Don't do this its a complete rip off! The doctor then recommended a steroid treatment for her hair a cream which she got from the chemist which worked wonders. I can't remember the name of it but it was steroid based and you put it on before you go to bed at night. She did less stressful things at work, spent a couple of weeks not going out or drinking as much as she did and within 6 weeks her hair started to grow back. She takes good care of it now, she doesn't wash it every day and its getting thicker everyday. |

1. unbalanced diet 2. exposure of hair to hot sun light ( roaming in the hot sunny day) 3. hormonal reactions. 4. Exposure to heat ( hair dryers.. etc.) 5. frequent combing. To recover.. you can take care of all these things by yourself. |

| I'm sure the same causes apply to men as do to women. I'm sure there are products out there to help, just like the ones we see on tv about men. I would talk to someone maybe at the nearest salon? |
