Default Malibu treatment

Have you ever had what is called Malibu treatment done to your hair? My hairstylist had suggested it once before doing a perm, she said that my hair had some mineral buildup - we all get that to some degree, from the water we are using - and Malibu will help to deep-cleanse the hair. The treatment did help, my hair was softer and healthier after, and the perm took well and looked natural.

That's rather new to me! But may i just ask how do we get mineral-build up? Thru frequent hair treatments or just thru time or thru our diets? Enlightenment please...

The stylist said mineral buildup is caused by the water we are using. We have our own well, and our water is very good, but I know that it's got a lot of iron in it. I would think it does not matter where we live, there are still some minerals in the water we use.

No, i never came across the word called malibu, So malibu treatment is a treatment to hair? So can you please explain me briefly about the treatment, how it is done and why it did not work for you, because cleansing will be working usually.

I'll ask about the treatment sometime. I just have a feeling that the water here isn't very good. It just smells funny lol. Not to sound gross.. I mean, it may just be me. I always tend to smell things more than other people can.. it's weird
