Default Hot Oil Treatments

Every once in a while I will put some baby oil in my wet hair when I am at the pool. Once washed out, it gives the effect of a hot oil treatment.
Does anyone every use hot oil treatments on your hair? What kind do you use?

Default Hot Oil Treatments

hi,
Gently heat the oil and the conditioner, stirring as you go along. Remember that oil heats very quickly and can burn quite easily: NEVER leave unattended. You are only heating it to the point of warming the oil and blending it with the conditioner. Once it is warm, remove from heat. Be sure you test the heat of the oil before putting it on your hair.

If it seems too warm, wait several minutes before applying. It is not recommended to use a microwave to heat the oil since temperatures are hard to control and you might wind up with part of it being much hotter than the other. Apply the warm oil to dry hair.

I have treated my hair with hot oil in the salon twice a month. It really help repair damage on my hair. Have you try it in a salon instead of doing it at home?

I just buy hot oil solution from a beauty shop and does it on my own at home. Just need a simple hair cap to cover it up after applying the solution and the result is the same effect as when you had it done in a salon. This is much cheaper.

Default Hot Oil Treatments

I use to take this treatment once in a week, so that it results better... I use to heat the oil and apply it gently on my hair and massage so that it gets in to the roots and strengthens the hair....

A hot oil treatment for hair is a must-have for hair that has become damaged from blow drying, coloring, straightening and several other hair processing techniques.

Yes, and it's great for maintaining a healthy head of hair. Great for dry scalp too. It's just something good to include in your beauty regimen.

A hot oil hair treatment, homemade or store-bought can be an inexpensive luxury with a variety of benefits. Homemade oil treatments can be mixture of common household oils such as soybean oil or olive oil that keeps your hair more healthy.

I only go to the salon to have some hot oil treatment for my hair. It's like my hair was being conditioned for 30minutes.

I buy this organic hair mask which works like a hot oil treatment. Not only is it way cheaper than going to the salon, I also know what I am putting on my hair.

I use baby oil too, but i dont feel like hot oil treatment, may be its because of different brand and flavour, can you exactly tell me what kind of baby oil you used and what flavour please, so that i can try.

hi, i tried it. I usually like to have oil on my hair and the baby oil gives necessary nourishment and protects the hair like a sunscreen. The baby oil also gives a moisture to the hair which helps in the hair growth.

I am going to try this tomorrow.

Just one question though, how difficult is it to wash the oil out?

Depend=s on the oil you use , most oils are easy to was out and go off when shampooed but if you use heavy oils then you might need to shampoo twice or thrice

I have hot oil treatment once a week. I use shower cap to warm my hair, I do not have steamer at home. Hehe. Sometimes, I use it as my conditioner to keep my hair smooth.

After bathing, I do not put baby oil on my hair, I use hair coat instead. It is water-based and doesn't leave sticky feeling.

This could be something that I could do at home. Your post is great. I just want to ask, what kind of oil should I use? Were you referring to a baby oil or something else? I can't wait to try it.

Yes.. i have tried it.. many times actually.

I tried it because.. i felt that baby oil will not be very strong or offensive to any kind of hairs, so i tried it without fear, It was nice and later on i started using it regularly. I guess every one can try this.
