As you said you are an Indian, we can easily find a lotion in your place too, in medical shops ask for "LICEL" lotion, donno whether it is provided now but it will help your daughter very well.

Coconut oil is good for drowning them, but the eggs still need to be combed out with a fine tooth comb.

Treatment can be very easy if you wash your hair frequently. It can be more difficult if your daughter contracted lice from someone at school. Just make sure that she doesn't share other people's hats or combs.

I have not personally dealt with this so I can't recommend any specific products, but I know that there are effective chemical treatments available that are safe to use if used correctly.

Have you checked with the school authorities to see whether other kids have lice as well and what is being done about it?

The first thing you must do is inform the school and take your daughter out of school until you have gotten rid of the lice.

You need a lice comb and the best thing to do it put conditioner on your daughters hair while it is dry and comd every last centimeter of her hair. You are going to have to do this every day until the lice are gone.

There is nothing you can do to stop lice, but you can treat them.

At my school, there were frequent checks to make sure that none of us had contracted lice. The nurse would look at our scalps using toothpicks. (It did hurt a little.) If someone was found to have lice, they would be sent home with a list of products to put on their hair.

It's not that bigger deal really, so don't freak out about it, you will only upset your little girl.

Go to the chemist for some treatment shampoos and all will be well.

I have also heard that headlice do not like tea tree, so use a tea tree shampoo on your daughters hair once you have gotten rid of them.

You may want to wash everything in the house like clothes and sheets because lice can be transmitted between people very easily. If you have other children, talk to them about it.
