Default Hair and chemical treatments

Today there are a lot of people who get their hair chemically treated in terms of perming, coloring and straightening. Many products are available in the market today for chemically treat the hair. Many brands have ventured in to the hair care market and have come out with hair colors in different shades and rates. But be careful while using these products as they can provide major harm to your hair. Many people complain rough and dry hair. Hair fall is also a common problem today. What they blame is the water or the shampoo but what they forget are the chemical treatments that make their hair undergo. We would advice you to avoid using cheap and unbranded products and take experts advice before going in for coloring, straightening and perming.

Yes, I know that perm and similar treatments are not good for our hair. But there are people like me who can't go without perm. I can't stand my straight, flat, unmanageable hair, so I get it permed. I only do it twice a year though. My other consolation is that perming solutions have come a long way, they are much less harmful today, plus we have great conditioners available to help our hair.

Many of the old-fashioned treatments like putting hair curlers in your hair instead of using a perm will be better for your hair, but you have to do it every night, and that's not convenient. At least it won't harm the hair, right?

I have stopped dyeing my hair, because I don't want to harm it with chemicals anymore. Back to natural for me! I like it better being brunette anyway.. suits my face better, and I get to save lots of money each year. Coloring your hair gets pricey, especially when it grows as fast as mine

Yes, curling is a healthier option. I curl my hair, and with the perm as base, the curl lasts well, I don't have to do it every day. When I don't have perm though, it is a daily task. Not many have the discipline for it.

Curling hair is very time consuming. I have tried doing it everyday at some point but got fed up really fast because it took me forever to do it.

I guess I've learned my lesson. I have my hair rebonded last January in a cheap salon. My hair was okay at first, but as months pass by, my hair looks drier. I get a lot of split ends as well..
