Default How to comb your hair

Whenever you comb you hair keep in mind not to use a comb with sharp teeth as it would tear the hairs apart. Some people prefer brushing than combing as they believe that it is less damaging to the hair. But do not indulged in to over brushing or combing of hair as it can be harmful to the hair. Similarly back combing can also damage the hair as it causes knotting which is very difficult and painful to remove. Always use a good and clean comb with rounded teeth to brush your hair. If you have a lot of tangles in the hair the first brush the end hair and then slowly move upward. Always brush hair when they are dry because brushing wet hair sticks them together and then a greater force is required to comb which causes damage to the hair. It is advisable to brush you hair when they are dry because when you brush your hair when they are wet then the hair sticks them together and a greater force is required to comb which causes damage to the hair. Never scratch your head with a brush.

So what is more advisable for keeping a healthy bunch of hair - is it brushing or combing? I have been losing quite a bit of hair lately and honestly, I am afraid to do either. I would really love to know which is the best way.

I've heard that brushing can damage hair but i haven't seen a reason attached to this. I myself brush my hair more frequently than I comb it, so I would also like to find out about the truth of this thing that brushing damages hair. If it does, why? What's the difference between brushing and combing? My hair is pretty healthy after decades of brushing it.

I do know that you're not supposed to brush your hair when it's wet though as it's at its most vulnerable then.

I use a wide-tooth comb to remove tangles in the mornings and when hair is wet. Then I use the brush to shape it. That way less hair is broken.

I have never been able to use a comb on my hair, cuz it's soooo thick. I always use a brush. I'd rather not deal with the pain.. I'm just lazy I guess hahaha

Combs are much easier on longer hair.

Personally I don't even bother brushing my hair any more; Thankks to my new very short hair style. All I have to do is get up on a morning and run a little wax through it.

Combing or brusing your hair softly and slowly, don't do in harsh and fast. Using some grooming hair creams makes the hair soft and easy for combing.Always keep your comb clean.

Well, I was really wanting to keep longer hair for the winter but I think I will have to go for a hair cut and get it done really short. It is so annoying to see a whole bunch of hair fall of even when I try all the ideas posted here, I am still losing a lot of hair and even though I hear we lose up to 100 strands a day, it is getting me really discouraged...

I am also lots of falling hair these past few days. Especially when I am combing my hair, I see hair in the comb. I am used to combing my hair. I haven’t used brush for a long time. I got a long hair, and if members here would say that brush is better than comb, then I have to go and buy a beautiful brush.

Another factor to considering when grooming your hair is "hair type". Whether you use a comb or a brush will depend on your hair texture. My hair is very curly and I don't us a comb or a brush.

Combing your hair should also be depending on the type of hair you have. If it is curly then use comb with large teeth spaces, if you have straight hair then use the normal teeth comb. Otherwise, combing will ruin your hair structure.
