Default Home remedies to get rid of dandruff

I found these most recommended remedies online - I don't have dandruff problems but it might help someone who has tried commercial shampoos and did not achieve positive results:

Tea tree oil: Tea tree oil has anti-fungal quality and can be mixed into lotions, oils and shampoos. Massage the mixture into the scalp and let it sit for 15 minutes prior to rinsing clean.

Oil soaks: Scalp massages with moisturizing oils an hour or so before bathing rejuvenates dry scalp; hence decreasing the dandruff flakes.

Fenugreek seeds: When taking two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds and soaking them overnight in water, you can ground them into a fine paste by the morning. The paste should be applied to the scalp and left to work for an hour. Afterwards, wash your hair with a soap-nut (ritha) solution or shikakai.

Lime: After washing your hair, rinse your hair with a teaspoon of fresh lime juice. This remedy also helps to control dandruff, promote glowing hair, as well as remove stickiness.

wow thank you for that information. this would be really helpful but not for me but for my husband. he have lots of dandruff and we are finding ways to get rid of it. anti-dandruff shampoo doesn't help a lot. We also tried putting kalamansi on his scalp before taking a bath, it worked for awhile.

This is very interesting however, I don't think I would be able to find some of these in our country. What could be some other alternatives that we could use? How about sesame and olive oil?
