I use aloe vera shampoo on my hair but I have some aloe plants in my garden. Do you think, or know, if it's okay to use the pure aloe gel from my plants on my hair? I know you can use the natural oil to treat burns and scratches etc, but would it cause damage to my hair? |

I don't see why you can't. It's natural and has no known side effects. I used to use it on my hair when I was a child and now my hair is so thick! It's even good for the skin because of its calming and soothing effect.

I have the aloe plants in my home and many people come to my home and get leaves of that plant for thier hair conditioning. There will be a white transperent jelly like substance in the leaves, just extract it and apply to your hair and wait for 5 min before washing.. it gives a great effect.

Aloe plants and its leaves are an excellent medicine for all the hair problems.. It does all good things required for the hair. Aloe is easily available. I can say that a single aloe vera leaf will be equal to number of good aloe based shampoo using for one month.

| I'm pretty sure it wouldn't hurt. I mean, it is all natural. The only thing I've ever used it on is my arm when I burnt it roasting marshmellows hahaha |

Thanks for the responses, It is really appreciated. I didn't want to just go ahead and extract the gel without getting some opinions first. Now I have people to blame if my hair falls out! |
