i am not sure where you are located, but you can get this in your
local indian store, it is called shikakkai powder. this is the best natural
hair conditioner. another one will be powder of channa dal. (split peas i think)

she already has oily hair and you are recommending coconut oil

go with shikakkai when washing your hair. and then use
coconut oil.

Needing conditioning is a really different issue to having oily hair. To stop it being oily you need to play around with how often you wash it, every other day is probably the best frequency to do so.

If you leave coconut oil in your hair the night before you wash it, it'll soften your hair really well overnight. Then wash it out in the morning and it shouldn't feel oily any more, just healthy and silky. If you don't want to leave it on overnight warm the oil first, apply it to your hair and keep a towel wrapped around to keep the warmth in your hair and leave it like this for two hours and then wash out, guaranteed to work.

Thats the best idea to use shikakkai poder for washing the hair and then using coconut oil. After the wash, the shikakkai poder cleanses the hair and the coconut oil nourishes and supports the hair growth and shiningness.

For conditioner you can use herbal powders.. It will be available in packs. It will not create any foam but will work has a excellent conditioner. The powder will include all good herbs like hibiscus and few other items like coconut etc also.. try that...
