Default Hair length and age

I am a middle aged woman with lengthy hair. I have a small facial structure so I usually wear it pulled back away from my face. Does long hair make middle aged woman appear older?

No not at all, it depends on your face actually, as long as u have a good face for the wanted hair style, and also the way you carry the hair style, you will look young even when you are 50 years old.. so hair doesn't matter much for appearance as old or young.

Hi. It doesn't matter that either you have long hair or small hair. What matter is your hair style. You can get your hair cut from front in such a style which suits you. If you really like short hair then it's ok you get short hair cut. Otherwise let your hair long. Ask beutician or hair stylist that which hair style go according to your face. There are lots of hair styles available with long hair.

I think hair cuts or hair styles shouldn't be based with your age. It should be based upon the whether. It is not comfortable having long hair during summer.

I think it really depends on the person honestly. I've seen some middle ages women who have long hair and it makes them look younger. Then, I've seen the ones where it's completely gray and that tends to make people look older, but it really depends on your facial structure and all of that. Maybe you could post a pic for us on here and we could let you know?? just a thought...

I think the length and style of hair should depend entirely on how you like it. Every single one of us has a different perception and what one might think to look good might look horrendous to someone else. Look at yourself in the mirror, and style your hair the way it makes you feel good and young about yourself. That's all there is to it.

From what I observe, hairdos tend to get shorter with age - women like long hair when they are young, then kids show up, and they cut their hair shorter or short, and then many opt for the short curly "grandma hairdo." However, there are all kinds of exceptions from this trend, too. Just do what you like and what suits you best!

Well if you feel young at that hair lenght then that's not a big deal. It's just a matter of how you present yourself with that look. My MIL has this super long hair and I don't like it because it makes her looking old since she don't know how to beautify herself but she said she can't cut it short coz of her religion (prohibits cutting hair) which sounds really riddiculous.
