Default Depilatories

Has anyone ever used a depilatory? It's a cream that seems to not only burn the hair off your arms and legs but really irritates the skin as well.

I used to use these creams all the time but they smell very bad from all the chemicals in it and it feels as if my skin is being burned off too.

I finally stopped using them when I told myself that using a shaver was okay and not painful at all.

I haven't used the creams in a while and was wondering if they are still as bad as they used to be.

I have not used them. It sounds scary to even try, LOL! I don't want to get my skin burned.

I have tried a "hair removing creme" once, don't remember what brand it was. It did not hurt at all, and it did not do anything to the hair, either. It was absolutely useless.

depilatory? its a cream that hurts? then why do people use it? People never go to products that hurts them.. may be if its a way that stops hair growth permanently, then people may use it, even if it hurts, because it hurts only once.

It's just that the cream burns the skin and irritates it. Once you use the cream the hair is gone for a while but it does eventually grow back.

There's something in the cream that makes the hair fall out so you have to be careful not to touch your head. Also, the cream has a horrible smell to it as well. I like that the hair stays away for a while but my skin gets too irritated to use it.

I haven't tried that one. But what I use is the Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit. I just place the strip on the area where I want hair to be removed..then after a few minutes, i take it off. It's a bit painful though.

I haven't used it before, either, but it sounds very painful. Who would want to put themselves through such a painful process? There are many more ways to do this that do not involve pain at all.

Neet is one of the best brands for the depilatory creams. They have different scents and most of them contain aloe vera gel that soothes the skin as you remove the hair. There is no burning sensation either, unless you leave it on longer that it is required or apply too much of it. As long as you follow the directions and rinse off very well, it works as well as waxing and the hair grows back much thinner, much later.
