Default Waxing

Out of all the methods of hair removal, I think waxing is the best after laser hair removal.

The reason why I think that because waxing is a semi-permanent method of hair removal, and by getting waxing done you remove the hair from the root, and for new hair to grow back it takes from 2-8 weeks!

Waxing can be done on any part of the body including the face, and after waxing the skins feels very soft and clean and you wont have to worry about hair growing back until 2 weeks!

I would always suggest to get waxing done from an experienced person for best results and to get waxing done properly on body parts where the skin may need to be held tight or on awkward parts of the body!

Waxing is defiantly a good hair removal method, like you said Harpreet it takes the hair form the root and makes your skin looking good for long!

Not many people know or even notice that it makes your skin cleaner, especially the underarms (nothing to do with personal hygiene), it cleans is by removing any dark patches or marks on the skin. If you wax for a long period you will notice a difference if you have any dark patches under your arms or any other parts of your body!

i agree that waxing is a very efficient way of hair removal but i am really scared of getting under arms waxed because some times it starts bleeding and it can lead to irritation and itching some times.

I too am in favour of waxing over other methods though not on all parts. I read somewhere the best practises and body parts of hair removal are.
Legs - shaving
Hands - Waxing
Intimate areas - hair removal cream
Eyebrows - threading

I have not done waxing, but I have used epilators, which is probably a little less painful but just as effective - the hair is removed with the root and won't grow back for a while.

I have heard of threading but I m not sure if thats available nearby. Its said to be less painful but more effective than ordinary plucking. I would go for that definitely if I hear its already available and done by professionals.

I agree that waxing is a good form of hair removal. I have heard that threading is also good and doesn't hurt. I have had my eyebrows waxed many times.

Does anyone know how much laser hair removal costs? It seems to be the most effective, but I am scared to ask about the price, LOL! Also, how painful is it? I hear conflicting reports about that. Some say it hurts, others say they didn't feel any pain.

Yes, to the original poster. Waxing is second best. However, not on my eyebrows. I prefer threading or manual plucking.

Sure.... I think u should start waxing.....it is a safe and effective method of hair removal.

Hair removal creams are less painful, but as they contain chemicals to destroy the hair, they could cause some damage/dryness to your skin in the long run.

I also think that waxing is the best method for hair removal but I'm a chicken and find it too painful for me. I've tried it a few times and was happy with the results but the pain really got to me. I'll stand by my shaving. It isn't as good and doesn't last as long but the pain factor is zero.

Waxing gives you much more satisfactory results than shaving, as you cant withstand pain, take LA and do it

(just kidding)

Oh I'm a complete wimp. Even the idea of waxing any part of my body makes my eyes want to water. I dare not even try it

I'm happy enough to stick with conventional plucking and shaving!

Ya.. thats a good point about waxing that it is semi-permanent method of hair removal, so i guess there wont be any big side effects on face because of this waxing.
