I've always shaved, but considering how often I cut myself...and the irritation....and...well, you all know...I've been giving some serious thought to trying waxing. What are your thoughts on it? Do you do it? How badly does it hurt? Are there any brands I should be looking at? Should I get it done FOR me? HOW do I get it done?

And all the other stupid questions that I'm supposed to know the answers to by virtue of being female. >.<

Well if you can handle the pain I guess you can give it a go. Just be brave on doing it the first time.

I've never had it done, but I've heard it hurts pretty bad. I would definitely say, only get it done if YOU want to, don't get it done because a guy is telling you to.

It really hurts so bad it could make you cry. Judging from the way it looks it's giving me goosebumps. But I think waxing can be less painful if you will pull the tape as quick as you can so that you will not suffer from too much pain for a longer period.

That's definitely the key. The only place I've ever had waxed was my eyebrows, I did it a few times and OMG! It hurts!! But, the pain does end pretty quickly, so it's not too bad. The only other thing I may ever give a try is my legs, but I highly doubt I'll ever do that.. I've watched people do it, and it wasn't fun.

Definitely a YEA for me. There is no way I would go back to the razors now that my hair is almost non-existent and takes weeks to grow back.

very good point.. now that you mention that.. makes me want to try. I hate the stubble!!

So, do you get used to the pain over time, or how does that work?
