I really don't know the difference between cold or hot waxing. I usually get my underarms waxed but I don't know if it's hot or cold waxing...probably hot. But what are the differences? Which hurts more? and all those stuff.

Hot wax is wax which is heated up and applied to the skin and removed using strips. Cold wax is when wax is already on the strips ready to use!

If your someone new to waxing, can understand why you may not know, but hot waxing and cold waxing is easy to differ, as explained from their temperatures!

I personally think that cold waxing hurts more! I don't know for a fact which works better though, but for me hot waxing is pretty good.

In cold waxing how does the wax on the strips stick to the hair that it is meant to pull out ? is the strip put on the skin and rubbed or something ?

Yeh the strip it put on the skin (which sticks to the skin) lightly rubbed and then pulled off!

Cold waxing is the easier and less messier way to get rid of unwanted hair. Hot wax is so sticky and takes such a long time to clean up when you're done; not only that, you gotta get the temperature right, otherwise, it burns the skin. There are none of these problems with the cold wax. Just apply, place the strips, pull them off and rinse, and you're done!

Honestly, I never knew there was such thing as cold waxing. All I've ever had is hot waxing, and it HURTS. I've only ever waxed my eyebrows and I've decided I'm never going to do that again. I'd rather pluck.

Same with me. I haven't heard of cold waxing. And I don't know if there is such thing because the skin must be warmed first before waxing so that the skin pores are open and it wouldn't be hard to pull off the hair.

I have never heard of cold waxing either. Is this something that you do yourself or do they offer cold waxing in salons too?

I go and get my eyebrows waxed and they use hot wax. I think that all waxing hurts.

I like cold wax better simply because it doesn't hurt as much plus it's not hot lol! It's also very easy to apply because it's already in a strip. No mess!
