Default Threading

Threading is a very popular Asian way of hair removal and majority of the Asian community use this technique to removal hair, which 99% is from the face.
Threading can not be used on larger areas due to its technique of using a thread, and therefore is used to shape the eyebrows and remove the upper lip hair.

I personally find that threading is a much better way of removing facial hair as its a cleaner way of hair removal and its easy to pin point where the hair is and simply remove it. When it comes to shaping the eyebrows its also easier to shape them when threading as there is more control over which hair needs to be pulled out to define your brow shape.

I have never experienced threading, but would love to try it.

My sister went to NYCity for a trip and while there got her eyebrows thread. She said it didn't even hurt!

Its true threading does not hurt and i really recommend you antkmom to try threading, you will be pleased with the results.

Although eyebrows can not be done on yourself, you can easily thread your upper lips your self and see an effective result.

I've never heard of this before, but it sounds a little painful. Where else on the face is it used?

I tried having my eyebrows threaded a couple of times and but it hurts like hell. So after only a couple of tries by the aesthician I would end up telling her to use a twizzer or shave it instead. I can never stand the pain.

sure, why not, some women have rather excessive hair below the
sideburns area and removing that does make them look better.

of course I am referring to threading for females
and I thought everyone in this thread also
meant females, if not I am the one who should be .
for males of course shaving is the best.

I havent tried till now. For removing my eyebrow hairs i could use threading method. There will be more pain with threading compared with other methods.

I've done this with both my eyebrows and underarm hair. Can't stand when being done on my eyebrows(really painful!) , but underarm hair? it was a breeze! no pain at all.

you get threading done on your under arms and its not painful ?
I thought ppl usually wax or shave their under arms ..

so what do you do to your eye brows.. iam sure you must have figured out some way... you wouldnt do the unthinkable of letting them be , would you ?

I love threading! I have my brows done every 3 weeks or so. It's like plucking but less pain. It takes longer for the hair to grow too which is a big plus.

I have heard of this but I never tried it. When i get my eyebrows waxed, I always make sure that I don't need to go anywhere else that day and go straight home afterward. My eyebrows get super red and it's embarrasing. The next day there are still a little red but not much. I think it's worth it though. It's better than looking like bigfoot. lol

Threading is the most common method of hair removal, but it is a painful way of hair removal, eventhough it gives good results, its better to use some hair removal creams, so that it doesnt pains like hell.
