What about trying a course of Vitamin B6 ? it takes about a month to get into your system but can really benefit you or vitamin B complex, you take these 10 days before hand, these are really good.

During menstrual cycle it is common to have dysmennorhoea on the first day for sometime as the phenomena of shedding of the endometrium takes place, but if the pain is prolonged for more time best advised is consult the gynaecologist for any abnormality, and get treated.
Drinking more water helps in reducing the pain and anti- spasmodics such as meftal-spas, di-cyclomine, mefenamic acid can be taken for relieving pain, they are avoided in pregnant & lactating women.

The only way I can ease the pain is if I don't eat anything until the pain passes completely. I have to shut down completely and try to get some sleep. Without rest, I can't funtion the rest of the day. The first day is the worst. After that, I feel fine except for maybe a little queasy feeling.

I'm a fairly active person and I have found that in phases of my life when I haven't been taking exercise for some reason my periods have been more painful. I'm not saying that exercise cures the problem, but for me, it has definitely been easier to cope with when I get regular exercise, especially swimming.

How about talking some medicine like mefenamic acid just to ease the pain. Sometimes it happens to me if I can't take the pain I really take that medicine.

I have friends also who suffers from menstrual pain. Warm compress sometimes eases the pain but it depends upon the pain's stage. It it is very painful that all you can do is to spend your time in bed please consult a physician.

Exercise has helped me on some occasions, but most of the time, it will backfire and do nothing for me except make me feel very dizzy. I feel really hot, and it feels like I get a fever or something. It mostly helps if I do nothing.

Is it really advisable to take pills or medicine every time you experience pain during menstruation? I think I am fortunate enough because I don't encounter such pain. Perhaps it would be best to rest and drink water.

I think my mom's lessons about this is working because i don't feel pain when I have my period. Don't bath in cold water on the second and third day. Use warm water when bathing.

Some yoga postures which particularly treat the lower part of your body can help to regulate the menstruation and solve the mentrual problems. You can try yoga mudra, cobra pose and dhirga pranama.. Don't worry, those are basic postures which can be done safely even by beginners.
