Default Dysmenorrhea

there are many women out there who are experiencing dysmenorrhea or pain in the lower abdomen area during menstruation. some say it will go away after giving birth but there were some cases where the condition only became worse after childbirth.

What is Dysmenorrhea? Although you have said its pain in the lower abdominal, but is this the name of the pain or a problem which needs to be looked into?

I suffer some pains not most of the time when i have my menstruation unlike to my sister that she really got admitted due to the pain she felt. If you do experience like this here are some home remedies that can apply to it; Boil water and if its not that hot put it in a bottle, cover the bottle with a cloth enough to feel warm when put on your belly part. Position in a shrimp position or a semi-side lying. Hope this one helps.

Default Dysmenorrhea

I still have lower abdomen pain during menstruation, even after my normal delivery. My doctor said that the uterus cervix is tightly closed, so that it leads to pain.

Like Spiders said, its all about uterus packing, Its supposed to relax after the delivery, but in some case it don't, so it may also get pain even after the delivery.

I used to have real painful dysmennorhea before I gave birth to my son. It was debilitating that I used to be absent from school and later from work on the first day of my menstrual period. It eased up after a normal delivery, but came back during my pre-menopausal period. The gynecologist said I had retroverted uterus, that caused the pain.

Dysmenorrhea means pain in lower abdomen during menstruation, it is due to presence of fibroids, adhesions, pelvic inflammatory diseases, etc.,
during this time, abdomen & back massage, warming of the abdomen, supine position are advised. Anti-spasmodics, Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories are suggested.

One product that I know has really helped women with dysmenorrhea is a female pad that contains negative ions. The presence of the negative ions in the pad is what makes the difference. I know lots of women who can attest to its benefits. I just don't know where you can get these pads anymore because the manufacturers who used to make the ones I know of moved on to making cosmetics and dropped that product line. But if you ever come across female napkins with negative ion strips inside of them, give them a try.

How can I determine which pad has negative ions? I had some dysmenorrhea before but it only happened like once a year.

I deal with this problem every single month, and it really irritates me because I have to take time out of my day to rest. I just have to lay on my stomach to combat that outward pushing feeling until it's over. It's not fair that the main way to alieve the pain is to have a kid to get the pain to stop.

if you are suffering from painful periods and are taking "the pill" oral contraceptives, speak with your doctor about skipping periods. I take 3 months of pills at once and therefore only go through menstruation 4 times a year so at least I dont have to deal with the pain every month!

Do you think taking pain reliever medicine could help us to eliminate such pain?

I experienced that dysmenorrhea, recently. I felt really in pain that time.

ibuprofen not acetaminophen meaning advil not Tylenol is what my doctor told me. I also find a hot water bottle helps!
