Default Contraceptive Pills

Dear friends,
Is it safe to use OTC oral contraceptive pills for everyday? Will it create any undesirable side effects or problems in the body? Please help.

Taking OTC pills for emergency or once in a while is advisable but not always, if you use them frequently, later during conception it will be a problem, and OTC pills make a person obese, or leads to weight gain.

If you are over 35 years old and you smoke, it may cause blood clots but besides that I am not aware of any other potential problems. You can always consult your physician just to be sure - as any other pharmaceutical product, it may or may not have adverse effects on you.

I've had a classmate who gained a lot of weight because of the contraceptive pills. Just make sure that you take them as the directions say, and you shouldn't have any problems. Talk to your doctor and ask lots of questions.

As with any medication, there can be complications and it's best to talk to your doctor about taking anything first. I've been on the pill for the past four or five years and I feel fine. However, I know what you mean... it makes me nervous putting these types of things in my body. But honestly, I'd rather take that than get pregnant, because that is definitely something that I'm not ready for right now.. or maybe ever. It's a HUGE commitment.

The side effects of the pills that you take will depend on the person. The same is true with any person taking medicine. Maybe a person taking these pills for the first time or for the first few years will experience some irregularities that will eventually work itself out over time.

I took contraceptive pill about two years ago. I took it for one year. There was no really side effects on me. i didn't gain weight while I was taking it, but when I stopped that was the time I putted on a little weight. now I am trying to loose the poinds I gained

the side effects of the pills depends on the kind or brand of pills you will be taking. just consult your doctor first for the pill that is fit to you.

I have taken the same conteceptive pill now for almost twelve years, which includestwo breaks to have children, and I have never suffered with any side effects.

My periods have become lighter and less painful, which is a good thing, and I have never suffered with any complications.

Some contraceptives can cause a rise in blood pressure, but your doctor will keep a check on that for you.

Again it depends on the individual, but you should talk to your doctor first.
